THE GRAND AND STAR-STUDDED OPENING OF THE SECOND FREZCOLIAD GAMES ELECTRIFIES THE CROWD AT VASIL LEVSKI HALL
The grand opening of the Second Frezcoliad Games rocked Pazardzhik on Thursday night at the Vasil Levski Sports Hall. Many celebrities, official guests, and hundreds of children packed the facility, witnessing an extraordinary and glamorous show. This year, the event is also organized, thanks to Lacrima and Frezco, Pazardzhik Municipality, and Pazardzhik Youth Sports Club.
The name Frezcoliad stems from the love of Frezco - the children's series of one of the most popular and recognizable Lacrima dairy brands, and the experience of our golden girl - Olympic medalist in rhythmic gymnastics, Ms. Reneta Kamberova. Thus, the union between Frezco and the Olympiad birthed a unique event - the Frezcoliad.
The mayor of Pazardzhik Municipality, Mr. Todor Popov, welcomed everyone present, including the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Muhanned Al-NUAIMI, Mrs. Rositsa Cherkezova, Director of the Lacrima plant, the Ambassador of Iraq to Bulgaria, her excellency Lina Omar, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, her excellency Zakia El Midawi.
"I am happy and proud because we once again prove that we are number one in our city. Such an event that we do here has no equivalent in Bulgaria and is proof that when local authorities and businesses join hands, good things come out. Thanks to Lacrima, they are not only developing businesses in Pazardzhik, but also have a social sensitivity to support such events. However, none of this would have made sense if it weren't for Pazardzhik's children. All we do is give kids a chance. Sport is health, ambition, discipline, and a desire for success," said Mr. Mayor Todor Popov, who gifted Eng. Muhanned Al-Nuaimi a painting of Pazardzhik city's symbol - the Clock Tower.
"Special thanks to the Mayor of Pazardzhik Municipality, Mr. Todor Popov, for his constant support to businesses and people. Thanks to the organizers of this wonderful event. Such actions are part of the Lacrima strategy. We are not only required to work but also to support the children... I see happiness in their eyes tonight," said Eng. Muhanneed Al-Nuaimi, who presented a special gift to Mr. Todor Popov in respect and friendship.
The President of the Pazardzhik Youth Sports Club and the main driver in the organization of the large-scale event, Ms. Reneta Kamberova, welcomes all guests with the words: "For me, this event is a dream come true! Thank you to all who are in the hall and agreed to be part of this great holiday, to our sports clubs and athletes who make us more and more proud. We want children to train, believe in themselves, and become leaders because Bulgaria needs them.”
The official opening was followed by a grand performance.
This year, the Frezcoliad includes 11 type of sport and will unite dozens of sports clubs and hundreds of children and youth athletes.
