From local roots to global leadership

Founded in 1959, Lacrima has evolved with a single promise: to pair Bulgarian tradition with modern precision to craft outstanding dairy. The delegation toured our state-of-the-art facility, seeing first-hand how careful sourcing, rigorous testing, and disciplined maturation deliver consistent quality for customers in Bulgaria, Jordan, and beyond.

A curated tasting of Bulgarian excellence

Guests experienced a guided tasting across our full portfolio each made with 100% Bulgarian milk:

  • White brined cheese (Sirene)
  • Kashkaval (yellow cheese)
  • Cream cheese
  • Labneh balls
  • Butter
  • Additional specialty items from our range

Feedback celebrated the balance of flavor, refined textures, and the reliability of Lacrima’s quality across categories.

Heritage that shapes flavor

Beyond tasting, the visit explored Bulgaria’s centuries-old cheese-making culture and the role of Lactobacillus bulgaricus—the emblematic strain that helps give Bulgarian dairy its distinct profile. It’s a story rooted in our land, our people, and a dedication to craftsmanship that continues to guide Lacrima today.

Deepening Bulgaria–Jordan cooperation

This visit marks another step in strengthening ties between Bulgaria and Jordan through the shared language of food, heritage, and trust. We look forward to expanding our presence in Jordan and to building partnerships that bring authentic Bulgarian dairy to more families and businesses across the region.
